This commercially focused, start up organisation seeks a talented and progressive individual to provide critical advice and support to Senior Management. With their head office based in Melbourne’s CBD they are now looking for an highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their team.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will have solid experience consolidating monthly financial accounts and a strong technical understanding of accounting standards. You will report and provide financial commentary to senior management on P&L and Balance Sheet analysis whilst taking a lead role in strategic growth plans and ad-hoc projects. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements and statutory accounting process. This role may offer the ability to manage one direct report.
You will have an inquisitive mind with the ability and confidence to question results and make recommendations for improvements. It is essential that you are focused and driven with strong business acumen to influence the success of the organisation. You will be a team player working in a high performing collaborative team.
To be successful for this role you will be CA qualified or have come from a Charter trained background.
