Concrete Plant Manager

Our Client is an international concrete specialist, with major investment across south east Asia, they are now bringing their successful business to Victoria investing an initial 8 million dollars into building a new concrete batch plant to help drive local jobs and industry.

They are currently looking for an Experienced Concrete Plant Manager with previous experience as a batcher to assist in setting up and running the day to day operations of a concrete Batch Plant in and around Melbourne.

The Plant Manager will be responsible for input throughout the construction phase, local market research, insight and overseeing the safe production and maintenance of the concrete plant. Experience as a batcher will be highly regarded and of course a great safety record is important.

Responsibilities include

• Help supervise the set-up and mobilize the batch plant
• Batch mixes and sourcing local product
• Be able to conduct meetings and contribute constructively.
• Achieving a safe workplace for all who enter.
• People – Ability to lead, develop, inspire, respect and recognise (rew and recog).
• Communication – Must possess effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Day to day management of operations– ensuring desired production levels are reached.
• Operational improvement.
• Have knowledge of quarry material and locations
• Developing a positive business culture through the demonstration and driving of targeted behaviours.
• Planning, budgeting and reporting across the region.
• Ensuring all new and existing customer requirements are met by the plant operations.
• Maintaining a high level of plant and fleet presentation / housekeeping.
